FROM BEING JUST WELL TO WELLBEING

Ways to be more than merely 'safe' in the Corona virus Era
By now, the doctors and medical experts have told you all well that we need to be armed with hand sanitizers, hand washes, spray bottles loaded with Daikin's solution (NaClO 5% w/v in water) and of course the masks, gloves, and an occasional face shield if we need to save ourselves from the Coronavirus. While all of these, we heartily endorse and recommend fully, there's more to being healthy than just protecting the body from the virus, the tangible enemy. We humans are just a species of chimps with a highly evolved neocortex. Evolved, yes. But, chimps after all.
Our advanced minds still love every bit of talking, gossiping, hugging, and gathering. Now that the virus has put those of us better off enough (the haves) into our tiny, tech-enabled, concrete cages our chimp minds don't know what to make of it, any longer. There was plenty that could trouble the poor thing even in absolutely normal times and these have proved to be some seriously out-of-ordinary months.
"If you wait for happy moments, you will wait forever.
But, if you start believing that your are happy,
you will be happy forever. That's Life"

Go for SMALL walks around your house and discover wildflowers
You're bound to discover new insects and birds too.
Watch sunsets (or sunrises, if you are a morning lark)
There's something otherworldly about witnessing a glorious setting (or rising) sun. For a moment you'll find your worries belittled and sorrows benumbed.
Have plenty of fruits.
We are blessed to be a tropical country: mangoes and grapes don't cost a fortune, they just taste like it.
Even coconuts!
Those of you in non-coastal stations are going to flinch about how much a coconut costs but hey! You never complained about paying 40 bucks for half a litre Coke! Grow up boys and girls.
A little togetherness, with a loved one, who is NOT an essential service provider and stays strictly at home most times, wouldn't harm
Given that most of you would have a parent/
Following is an illustrated guide to help your dear mind navigate through lockdowns, isolations, and physical distancing from: your loved and even not- so-loved ones (may be now you even see everyone was quite nice as they were) :
