  CHICKPEA SALAD WITH FRUIT SAUCE

Ingredient for fruit Sauce:
1. Plum puree - 10 plums
2. Rock Salt - 1⁄2 teaspoon
3. Jaggery - 1⁄2 cup
4. Red Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
5. Salt to taste
6. Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
7. Chopped dates -1 tablespoon
Method for fruit Sauce:
1. Heat a thick bottom pan and pour pureed plums
into it.
2. When it comes to boil, add salt, grated jaggery, rock salt, red chilli powder and stir well.
3. Simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes or till it thickens, and add cumin powder and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
4. Add chopped dates and half cup water and cook for 5 more minutes.
5. Remove from heat, cool, and store.
Ingredients for salad:
1. Chickpeas - 1 cup boiled
2. Cashews - 1 tablespoon chopped
3. Red Bell Pepper - 1 tablespoon chopped
4. Green Bell Pepper - 1 tablespoon chopped 5. Yellow Bell Pepper - 1 tablespoon chopped 6. Cucumber - 1 tablespoon chopped
7. Tomato - 1 tablespoon chopped
8. Pista - 1 tablespoon (optional)
9. Almonds - 1 tablespoon chopped
10. Onions - 1 chopped
Method for Salad:
Take all ingredients for salad in a large mixing bowl, add fruit sauce and mix together.
Adjust the flavours according to taste and serve.
